PhoenixDX unveils new AI-First innovation hub

PhoenixDX has officially launched its new AI-First Hub, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy. Announced during a recent Quarterly Business Review, the launch comes as the firm continues to expand its legacy modernisation projects, Agentic AI and digital innovation.

The hub is designed to operate as an AI lab, integrating artificial intelligence into both customer-facing applications and the software development lifecycle – a cornerstone of PhoenixDX’s move toward AI-native service delivery.

“For close to a decade, we have been in the business of accelerating outcomes and solving complex business problems with small squads/pods that use modern ways of building software. Our AI First Lab is an extension of that DNA and ethos. AI helps compress delivery time, improve traceability, and reduce risk when implemented with guardrails & with small teams of experts. The value to our customers and partners is faster time-to-value and more efficient outcomes,” says Pedro Carrilho, co-founder of PhoenixDX.

“Importantly, customers gain immediate access to mature capability without the time, cost, and opportunity loss of building it internally. We interviewed more than 500 candidates to assemble the first specialist team and have already invested thousands of hours developing a fleet of AI agents that our engineers work alongside every day. This allows Tier 1 and Tier 2 organisations across the private and public sectors to accelerate delivery, reduce risk, and realise value from AI far faster than would otherwise be possible,” says Juan Martin, Co-Founder of PhoenixDX.

Strategic expansion and recruitment

The hub follows an intensive regional recruitment drive to find engineers with exposure to AI-First and AI-Augmented pipelines. Over 500 candidates were screened to secure the initial foundational team.

Cong Chi, AI Engineering Manager, says, “Most organisations have more AI ideas than execution capacity. PhoenixDX AI Acceleration Lab & squads give organisations a hands-on engineering capability for turning those ideas into working prototypes and production-ready solutions, with architecture, governance, and delivery discipline built in.”

A new office in Ho Chi Minh City now houses the growing AI-First team in Southeast Asia, supported by the existing Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane AI champions and engineers.

Driving AI-native delivery

PhoenixDX Founder and Managing Director Pedro Carrilho has emphasised that the hub will continue our investment in and specialisation in complex projects, such as legacy modernisation. Technical advisory and solution architecture teams will work across diverse AI stacks, including agent orchestration via Bedrock Agents and Azure Foundry, alongside AI productivity tools for developers. The foundation team is staffed with machine learning experts, micro-front-end developers, forward-deployed engineers, AI specialists, workflow experts, and AI-first solution architects, using a range of leading technologies. They are augmented by more than 50 agents, connectors and capabilities in the lab.

“Our new AI-First Hub in Vietnam is a very exciting milestone that represents PhoenixDX’s commitment to innovation and regional growth,” said Carrilho. “Our existing team, combined, already has more than a thousand years in mission-critical bespoke software across industries. By bringing together a specialised team of machine learning and AI experts, we are positioning ourselves to lead the way in AI-native service delivery and provide our customers with cutting-edge solutions that drive real productivity uplifts.”

The Vietnam hub is part of a broader Southeast Asian growth strategy, working in tandem with PhoenixDX’s established teams in the Philippines to deliver more competitive, scalable regional delivery models.

PhoenixDX helps organisations design, build, and operate AI-enabled custom software and intelligent workflows using AI-accelerated delivery, expert engineering, and production-grade governance.
