Cracking the Code this International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a time when we can celebrate and reflect on the progress made towards gender equality and focus on the work that still needs to be done. This year, UN Women Australia set the theme of CRACKING THE CODE, a fascinating prompt that has sparked a wide range of discussions and conversations across the globe.

For the women of PhoenixDX, CRACKING THE CODE means breaking down the barriers that still prevent women from achieving true gender equality. From the glass ceiling to ingrained social and cultural biases, it’s clear that there’s still a lot of work to be done to ensure that women are treated equally and fairly in all areas of life, whether in the workplace, the home, or broader society.

But what does CRACKING THE CODE mean to you? Watch the video below to find out what it means to us. Whatever your background or experience, it’s essential that we all take action if we want to see real change.

"We have to keep pushing, to keep being present."

For the women of PhoenixDX, it means dismantling the barriers that prevent gender equality. But, for everyone, it means taking action and lending our voices to the many campaigns working towards creating an equal world. Let’s work together to CRACK THE CODE a reality and ensure we have a gender-equal future.

This year we had a fantastic guest speaker, Angelina Eynon, MAPP, Women’s Leadership Development Coach. She spoke to us about “CRACKING THE CODE” and the challenges in our path towards equality. It sparked a fantastic company-wide discussion that we will continue to foster. Thank you for bringing the research and data to support your claims, Angelina

"The only way we're going to CRACK THE CODE is if the old ideas that have kept women down for millennia are not also programmed into the code going forward. So we need to make sure that the code that we are running our lives on is equal when it comes to gender."

It’s important to remember that while IWD is just a day, we need to be committed to the cause all year round, working to raise awareness, promote equality, and create a better future for all women. Let’s work together to make CRACKING THE CODE a reality and continue to celebrate the achievements of women today and every day.
