OutSystems Technical Lead

Phoenix Services, the OutSystems Expert Services provider in ANZ, is looking for an OutSystems expert to join our consulting unit. You will lead the implementation of innovative solutions using the OutSystems platform, to solve complex technical and business issues thru an agile approach, establishing the connection between technical and business teams.

As a Technical Lead you’ll have the responsibility over customers solution architecture, development execution and operational support of applications that are part of a larger ecosystem.

This role will enable and keep the technical team focused whilst also providing guidance on OutSystems development and performance best practices to Phoenix Services customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build a functional and technical system architecture based on business needs and drivers
  • Manage and inspire technical teams
  • Guarantee overall delivery quality and OutSystems best practices
  • Implement third-party integrations with SaaS tools and other systems
  • Interact with client’s technical teams to help build a solution seamlessly integrated with legacy systems
  • Ensure non-functional requirements, like, solution performance, scalability and security
  • Manage tasks and technical people according to project needs ensuring efficient, team work and commitment
  • Manage solution staging life-cycle, conducting QA and production deployments, supporting overall solution rollout procedures

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years in full stack development
  • 2+ years in OutSystems technology (ideal)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Software Development project with responsibilities of team leading, architecture and solution design
  • Strong experience in web application development and process design, and project delivery practices (mandatory)
  • Experience and technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design and web application performance
  • Worked with a team of people to build an entire product end-to-end
  • Deeply understand relational database systems and schema design, preferably have experience with SQL Server
  • Created and supported APIs with RESTful APIs, OAuth2 or GraphQL
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Degree in computer science or other technical related field
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken (mandatory)
  • Availability to travel
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and SCRUM
